A brilliant story of friendship and adventure. The pictures are amazing and the characters are wonderful. The main characters are Ember, Scorch, Spook and Spike, four dragon friends. The Set is in Co. Down in the. This book has some great details of the above and below. It was a little weird that all the pages rhymed except for one.
The illustrations are very detailed. The endpapers are fun to show daytime above and below and at the end, nighttime above and below. It's nice to have just one sentence per spread, but the book is still too detailed for /5. The short sentences and stylized, surreal illustrations will draw readers into the whimsical worlds of up above and down below, delighting and enlightening them as they complete their tour.
